Announcement of New President and Chief Executive Officer for New Vista, Central Kentucky’s Community Mental Health Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 10, 2020 – The New Vista Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Dee Werline as the next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of New Vista. Werline is an experienced behavioral health leader, most recently serving as Deputy Commissioner at the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. She will assume her role as the new CEO at New Vista on September 1, 2020.

“Although we conducted a nationwide search for our next CEO, the best candidate ended up being someone with deep roots in Kentucky,” said Board Chair Linda Watt. “We are confident that Dee will be a strong leader, and that her dedication to our mission will serve New Vista well.”

Werline earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Morehead State University, and is a Licensed Psychological Practitioner in the state of Kentucky. She has spent the last 30 years of her career in behavioral health organizations and is passionate about serving our communities with high quality behavioral healthcare. Werline previously worked at New Vista for 16 years in a variety of leadership roles, most recently serving as the Vice President of Administration from 2012 to 2016.

“I believe in community mental health, and I have a passion for the staff and clients of New Vista,” says Werline. “With over 16 years of experience within the organization, I want to ensure that New Vista will evolve to meet the changing needs of the communities in our region.”

Werline is replacing Paul Beatrice, who has served as president and CEO since 2014 and will retire from New Vista at the end of August. “The Board of Directors would like to express our deep gratitude to Paul for his visionary leadership over the last six years,” said Board Chair Linda Watt. “His accomplishments will have a long-lasting impact on the future of our organization.”
