New Vista Montessori School

Sarah Baldwin

Ms. Baldwin has been with NVMS since 2007.  She earned a B.S. in Child and Family Studies from Berea College. She trained with the North Carolina Center for Montessori Teacher Education and earned her American Montessori 3-6 year old credential in 2005.  She is also our music teacher at New Vista.  She has been responsible for many "bring the house down" performances with our students, and we look forward to many more!

Jennifer Deeds

Mrs. Deeds has been with NVMS since 2007.  She has been a lead Montessori teacher since 2005 and was an aide in a Montessori classroom for 4 years before that; she is trained in Early Childhood Development. She has also been a private nanny and provided childcare in her own home. Mrs. Deeds  received her Montessori 3-6 year old credential from Northern American Montessori Center in June 2009.

Christie Barnes 

Mrs. Barnes received her Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development from Virginia Western Community College in May 2009, Summa Cum Laude.  She received her Montessori 3-6 year old credential from Northern American Montessori Center in June 2012.  She has worked for New Vista Montessori School since August 2011.  Prior to joining NVMS, she also worked as a lead teacher for two years in a Montessori environment.

Ashley Morris

Miss Ashley joined our team in 2010 and has done an excellent job of providing the strong foundation needed to promote our 2s and 3s into the older classrooms.  She has an extensive background in caring for children.  She blends a "cup" of education with and a "cup" of love and kindness to create an inviting and welcoming environment for all of our youngest friends.
